There has to be a blood to blood transfer. When hiv is exposed in the air, it gets weaker that means less chance of infection.

This is a very, very low risk i wouldn't worry about this. But if you are in doubt and to stop worrying and so as to not be stressed i would say have the test so just you'll know.

And if you do, have a general test, because there are other things than can be causght not just Hiv/Aids.

if you wash the hair that might help, also spray the blade with lube every two minutes that will also help the blade get through

Yup- you are going to need a sheep shearers- you can get them at most livestock stores. They can be expensive, and weigh about 5-8 lbs, but they get through anything (horses, sheep, siberian huskies winter coat, etc)

These clippers usually vibrate a lot to cut the hair so your dog would look like a shorn sheep, but that is easily remedied with a touch up with a normal clippers.

I know exactly what your dealing with. My dog is part newfin. What I did in the summer was cut as much hair off with scissors that I could and then I just made sure to oil the clipper blades and take your time cutting through it cause the dogs can get clipper burns.

I bought professional dog clippers and they have 4 combs to use on various areas. It works great. Try Petco or other pet store.

The clippers pay for themselves. You need to buy the "oil" for the blades too, it keeps them from getting overheated by the clogged hair.

Well, sometimes depending on the mats nothing will cut through you could have to go under them against the skin. You wouldn't be looking for a wide tooth in that case but tiny ones like a #30. Most people stay around the #15-#10 range though. These are numbers for blades that go on the Oster (like the A-5) or an Andies clipper. I suggest you get a 2 speed Oster from what you are saying and yes blades do come with wide teeth, even skip tooth. Have a look bellow at the links, but shop around for price once you find what your looking for.

You might try a skip tooth blade. Skip tooth blades feed more hair into the cutting blade which makes them ideal for pre-bathing grooming, especially for removing matted haircoats. Then after the bath, you can go over it with a finishing blade.

It sounds to me that he is using this fetish to claim you.
