Hair clipper grades?

What do all these numbers of blades and guards mean? You have blade sizes labeled as 0000, 0A, 1 2 3 etc

When i've ask my barber for a zero on the sides fade in to number 2 on top, what i have been getting in length terms?

I was always told that the gardes go up in lengths of 3mm.Zero being 0, Grade 1 being 3mm,grade 2 being 6mm and so on.

They'r hair length , in MM's !! ( millimetres )

The lower the number the shorter the hair cut. Anything below 2 you can see the scalp

Average cut is a 3 or 4

In lenghts terms you have been getting a very short haircut a zero is more or less bald , if you like it short at the back next time ask for a 1 and a half and 2 on the top , or grow it a bit and get a 2 back and sides its much nicer.

  1. The lower the number, the shorter the haircut will be.
