Buzzing my own hair?

I have been cutting my own hair with a clipper for a while now. I have been using a #2 attachment all over. I was wondering how to cut my hair using a #1 on the sides and a #2 just on the top, how would I accomplish that without screwing up?

Also where the hell can I buy a handheld mirror so I can be sure not to mess this up?

Buzzing my own hair?

Well, as someone who cut their own hair for like ten years: I would have someone "line" you or "fade" you. It is extremely hard to do yourself and have come out straight. And frankly, it is weird how easy it is to se when you mess it up. Also, if you want a fade I would get those fade attachments (they have right and left sidedness, they angle in and are actually easy to use). So first bit of advice, grab a buddy, those haircuts are easy to do even the first time through (just watched my roommates GF give him a fade on her first try without attachments). Second, WALMART, anytime I need to buy something stupid like a handmirror it's walmart. I hate the place, but they have all that stupid-junk that's basically useless anytime other than the time you need it (if that even makes sense).

Thanks, hope it helps

Buzzing my own hair?

have a friend buzz the sides and back w/ a #1 ...you'll be able to do the top yourself

Buzzing my own hair?

Get someone to do it for you. I have tried that a few years back and i ended up with a 0 buzz all over.
